What is Monitor's web client?

Using our web client, you can access your Monitor ERP system directly in a browser. It provides the same core functionality as the Windows client, while offering greater flexibility through internet-based access. If you’re already using the Windows client, you’ll recognise the interface and feel at home right away. Since the server and database remain unchanged, all functionality in Monitor ERP works just as before.

Why use the web client?

  • Accessible from all devices: Can be used on any modern computer with a web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) – use is no longer limited to Windows PCs.
  • Familiar interface: If you’ve used Monitor ERP in the Windows client, the look and feel will be familiar, so the transition requires minimal training.
  • Ready for innovation: The web client enables future development of more advanced functionality.

FAQ – Web client

Is the web client already available?

The web client is available to all new customers. See our pricing plans here.

For existing customers, the web client will be available shortly.

Does it cost anything to use the web client?

No, all customers will have access to it as part of the standard system.

What kind of device do I need to use the web client?

You can use any computer that has a modern web browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.

How long does it take to upgrade to the web client?

The upgrade is virtually seamless – you simply start using the web client. Everything else in Monitor ERP remains the same: functionality, data, and settings are unaffected.

What is the difference between the web client and the old Windows client?

The main difference lies in how you access Monitor ERP. The web client runs entirely in your browser, with no software installation required. Its interface is designed to closely match the Windows client, ensuring a smooth and intuitive transition.

While there are some visual differences due to the web-based design, all data, modules, settings, and workflows remain unchanged. You get the full functionality of Monitor ERP – now with greater flexibility and easier access.

Can I continue using the old Windows client?
Yes. During the transition period, both the Windows client and the web client can be used simultaneously within the same system. However, the Windows client will be phased out over time. Going forward, all new features and user interface updates will be developed exclusively for the web client.
What is the difference between this and the mobile client, Monitor Mobile?

Monitor Mobile is specifically designed for smaller devices such as smartphones, handheld scanners, and tablets, which typically lack a keyboard and mouse. Monitor Mobile focuses on functionality such as barcode scanning for on-the-floor work situations.

The web client is designed for larger screens and desktop use. The web client offers the same full range of features as the old Windows client, while Monitor Mobile offers a smaller set of features that are ideal for tasks you perform on the go.
