Business consultant - MPS

Location: 100% Remote (UK)
Employment type: Full time 

Overall Objective

A structured and communicative consultant with solid experience from manufacturing companies and in-depth knowledge of production flows. As an MPS focused consultant, you will help customers optimize their sales, purchasing, manufacturing, and inventory management, while supporting successful ERP implementations.

Background & Experience – Requirements

• Professional background from the manufacturing industry e.g., plastics, metals, machining, or electronics.
• Hands-on experience in roles like purchaser, production planner, supply chain manager, operations manager, or similar.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management, production flows, inventory control, and logistics.
• Proven experience working with ERP systems (preferably ERP with manufacturing focus).
• Ability to manage projects and work independently from start to finish.
• Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.

Background & Experience – Merits

• Previous experience as a “super user” or responsible for ERP/MES implementation.
• Specialist knowledge in areas such as production planning, shipping, time reporting, inventory management, or supply chain optimization.
• Experience in change management and process development.
• Skilled in training and educating users.

• Production & logistics expertise – analyze, design, and improve flows within a manufacturing company.
• Project management – lead and deliver projects on time, budget, and quality.
• Business analysis – map customer needs and suggest effective process improvements.
• System knowledge – strong understanding of ERP/MES functionality and integrations.

• Relationship building – create trust and long-term customer relationships and collaborate with internal teams.
